PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Compact Steam Generation Built Around Biomass Pellets.
The ZFQ biomass series combines a vertical steam-generating body, pellet hopper and feeder, combustion chamber, induced-draft equipment, feedwater components and automatic controls in a compact packaged arrangement.
The ZFQ biomass series covers 0.2-2.0 t/h at 0.09 MPa. Process pressure, piping loss, fuel quality and local equipment classification must be checked before final selection.
Vertical Packaged Layout
The generating body and principal operating components are arranged for a compact installation footprint.
Automatic Pellet Feeding
The hopper and feeding system meter prepared biomass fuel into the combustion route.
Controlled Combustion
Air supply, induced draft and feeding are coordinated to support stable firing under the confirmed fuel conditions.
Automatic Protection
Water level, pressure, feeding, draft and electrical functions are coordinated through the configured control system.
FUEL-TO-STEAM ROUTE
Fuel Feeding, Draft, Water Supply and Pressure Work as One Package.
Prepared biomass pellets enter the hopper and are delivered to the combustion chamber by the configured feeder. Combustion air and induced draft support ignition, heat release and flue-gas movement through the generating surfaces.
Treated feedwater is supplied automatically. Steam forms in the vertical body and leaves through the approved outlet and safety arrangement while the controller coordinates operating signals and protective shutdowns.

Fuel basis: Pellet-consumption values are calculated using biomass particles with a lower heating value of approximately 4000 kcal/kg.
Actual consumption: Changes with fuel moisture and heating value, load, feedwater temperature, blowdown and operating conditions.
Dimensions: Use the approved general-arrangement drawing for foundation, access, lifting and transport planning.
BIOMASS FUEL ENGINEERING
Confirm the Real Pellet Fuel Before Locking the Configuration.
The model range is only the first step. Reliable operation depends on pellet size, mechanical strength, fines, moisture, ash, heating value, slagging behavior and the actual fuel-storage conditions.
Send fuel and process data →- 01Pellet Size & Strength
Confirm diameter, length, fines and breakage during storage and feeding.
- 02Moisture & Heating Value
These directly affect ignition, output and hourly fuel consumption.
- 03Ash & Slagging
Ash content and fusion behavior influence cleaning and stable operation.
- 04Steam-Load Profile
Separate normal demand, peak demand, startup load and daily hours.
- 05Feedwater Quality
Control hardness and dissolved solids to protect heat-transfer surfaces.
- 06Electrical Standard
Confirm voltage, phase and frequency for feeder, fan, pump and controls.
GENERATOR & SYSTEM BOUNDARY
Define Fuel, Water, Steam and Flue-Gas Interfaces Together.
A complete proposal identifies what is supplied with the packaged generator and what remains with the customer’s storage, piping, electrical, civil and local-compliance contractors.
Fuel storage, site piping, power distribution, civil works, installation, registration and inspection are included only when explicitly stated in the agreed supply scope.
APPLICATIONS
For Verified Smaller Low-Pressure Process-Steam Loads.
Suitability depends on pressure, normal and peak demand, operating hours, fuel consistency, water quality and local equipment rules – not industry name alone.
Food Processing
Cooking, vessel heating and cleaning after pressure and hygiene boundaries are confirmed.
Laundry & Garment
Ironing, pressing and washing loads compatible with the low-pressure route.
Small Process Lines
Distributed steam duties that value compact equipment and pellet firing.
Packaging
Heating and cleaning applications after real load and duty cycle are checked.
Agricultural Processing
Smaller steam loads where suitable pellets are locally available.
Point-of-Use Steam
Zoned steam generation that can reduce long distribution runs.
SELECTION GUIDANCE
Choose ZFQ Only When Pressure, Load and Pellet Fuel Fit.
ZFQ provides a compact low-pressure biomass route. When the process requires higher pressure, greater reserve, irregular biomass fuel or longer continuous duty, compare DZL, DZH or SZL biomass steam boilers before final selection.
Compare biomass boiler routes →- 01Strong ZFQ Fit
Low-pressure steam, prepared pellets, compact installation and a verified 0.2-2.0 t/h load.
- 02Verify Use-Point Pressure
Confirm the required equipment pressure after steam-line losses.
- 03Check Operating Reserve
Select from normal and peak demand rather than one theoretical load.
- 04Review Larger Alternatives
Move to an industrial biomass boiler if fuel or duty exceeds the generator route.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ZFQ Biomass Steam Generator FAQ.
Which capacities are available?
The ZFQ biomass series is available in 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 t/h models at 0.09 MPa and 118°C.
Which biomass fuel is used for the consumption table?
The listed values use biomass particles with a lower heating value of approximately 4000 kcal/kg. Actual fuel must be reviewed.
Can it burn loose wood, rice husk or irregular waste?
The shown packaged feeding route is based on prepared particle fuel. Loose or irregular biomass may require a different combustion and feeding system.
Is the 83% value guaranteed for every project?
The listed thermal efficiency is 83%. Final guaranteed performance and test basis must be stated in the technical agreement.
Does it require water treatment?
Yes. Water quality and blowdown must be controlled because scale reduces heat transfer and can damage pressure parts.
When should I select a DZL or SZL boiler instead?
Select an industrial biomass boiler when higher pressure, larger reserve, irregular fuel or longer continuous heavy-duty operation is required.
