2.8 MW Coal and Wood Hot Water Boiler for Residential Heating in Kazakhstan

For a residential heating project in Kazakhstan, the customer needed winter hot-water supply, a choice of coal or firewood, and a boiler package intended to reduce on-site assembly work. JINHONG supplied one 2.8 MW hand-fired atmospheric hot-water boiler and the associated circulation, combustion-air and flue-gas equipment. JINHONG engineers provided on-site installation, commissioning and training. The project was completed in 2026.

Customer Requirements

Residential heating required a complete system, not only a boiler body

The customer’s requirement was space heating for residential buildings. The specified boiler duty was 2.8 MW of thermal output, with rated supply and return water temperatures of 95/70°C. Continuous heat supply during the winter heating season was a central requirement.

Fuel availability also mattered. The customer wanted to use either coal or firewood rather than depend on a single solid fuel. Alongside that choice, the project needed practical arrangements for ash removal, cleaning and routine maintenance.

The customer also wanted to limit overseas site assembly. A packaged boiler and a defined auxiliary-equipment scope would simplify the equipment interfaces the installation team needed to coordinate. Low-temperature conditions and freeze-risk management were part of the customer’s operating requirements.

JINHONG Solution

A hand-fired CDZH heating package for coal or firewood

JINHONG supplied a horizontal, single-drum atmospheric hot-water boiler with packaged water/fire-tube construction. The project uses manual fuel charging, with both coal and firewood within the specified fuel capability. The hand-fired arrangement requires operators to manage fuel charging as part of routine boiler operation.

The supplied package extends beyond combustion. It includes the circulation pump, forced-draft and induced-draft fans, dust collector, flue-gas ducting, chimney, electrical control cabinet, and venting and expansion equipment. Bringing these items into the same supply scope addressed the customer’s need to coordinate the boiler with the water and flue-gas systems.

The capacity is a hot-water thermal-output rating. The 95/70°C values describe the rated boiler supply and return water temperatures.

For other heating duties, explore the CDZH hand-fired hot-water boiler family. Fuel, water temperatures, heating load and supply scope should be reviewed for each project. Use the hand-fired coal and wood boiler buying checklist to organize the heating load, fuel, staffing and system-scope inputs before requesting a proposal.

Equipment & Engineering Services

Full equipment supply and on-site JINHONG support

JINHONG was responsible for equipment supply, installation, commissioning and training, with engineers providing services at the project site. This combined the packaged boiler and its auxiliary systems with direct support for the customer’s installation and operating team.

  • Boiler and combustion: packaged hand-fired hot-water boiler and forced-draft fan.
  • Water-side equipment: circulation pump plus venting and expansion equipment.
  • Flue-gas equipment: dust collector, induced-draft fan, ducting and chimney.
  • Controls and services: electrical control cabinet, on-site installation, commissioning and operator training.

Completed Project

A completed residential heating project in Kazakhstan

The project was completed in 2026. JINHONG’s contribution combined a 2.8 MW coal-and-wood hot-water boiler, the specified auxiliary equipment, and on-site installation, commissioning and training.

The case illustrates a complete equipment-and-service approach to residential heating: a defined thermal duty, fuel flexibility, packaged boiler construction and engineering support at the site.
